Technical translations are translations of specific subjects. (engineering, mechanics, telecommunication, aeronautics, etc.). Scientific translations are translations of science-related subjects (medicine, biology, etc). Before starting a translation of this type, it is essential to do a short research about the subject to be translated in order to use the correct terminology. Most of the times it is also essential to work in contact with specialists in different fields that help to solve doubts or answer questions that might arise, thus ensuring the quality of the translations.
General translations contain little or no specialized terminology (i.e. legal or medical) and do not require a technical translator or editor.
It is the process of reviewing and correcting translation, grammar, spelling and formatting errors in a translation made by another translator.
It is the process of transcribing to a text a recording made in a digital or acoustic media (sound files, tapes, CDs, DVDs, etc.)
Subtitling is the translation of videos, films, etc which can be either institutional or for entertainment purposes.
